We’ve found some great free Summer dress patterns around the web – Spring might be late in coming this year but now that the weather is picking up it’s time to put your Winter wardrobe into hibernation and whip up some of these bright and breezy summer dresses!
This fantastic simple maxi-dress design from Made It On Monday is just perfect for Summer and shouldn’t take too long to sew up. There’s also a blue variation with a corded neckline.
You’ll need some lightweight knit fabric, as well as a zip, threads and, of course, sewing needles. Full instructions are provided in the blog tutorial, along with plenty of clear photos, so these summer dress patterns should be quite easy to follow.
Kojo Designs has a great sew-along tutorial for making a pretty blue strapless summer dress, easy to wear and perfect for sunny evenings.
This dress design was apparently inspired by a strapless tie dress from GAP, so it’s got some serious street-cred! You’ll be needing some lightweight fabric and lining fabric, as well as elastic, a sewing machine and some general sewing supplies.
