Jo Colwill hosted a Mad Hatter’s Tea Party to promote her new book Cushions & Quilts. There were queues around the block for signed copies of Jo’s book and she soon sold out – don’t worry stocks are being replenished!!
Crafters of all kinds set up shop in the barn at Newhouse Farm to sell their wares. The 30 stalls included lampshade maker, Gillian Goodman and felting company, The Felted Sheep. The halls were strung with bunting and it was a craft lovers’ dream whether you enjoy knitting, sewing or stitching.
Visitors could also visit the Kaffe Fassett exhibition which is currently at Cowslip Workshops. His extraordinary quilts and fabrics looked stunning in the summer light and it was impossible not to be amazed by his use of colour and pattern.
Children were entertained by the puppet show and grown ups and children alike enjoyed the delicious Cornish ice cream!
We chatted to Jo at the launch to find out more about her and discuss the book:
